This week Tamar Class has learnt about traditional African clothes and jewellery worn by the Maasai tribe.

The Maasai are a tribe who have lived in areas of a Tanzania and Kenya for hundreds of years. They are cattle herders, which means they move with their herds of cows from place to place.

Their jewellery is made of colourful beads arranged into patterns. They colours they like to combine in these patterns are blue, green, red, yellow, orange, black and white.

The children also tie dyed white t-shirts using bright colours and made their own colourful necklaces using paper plates and painted pasta.
