"Pupil Premium represents additional funding that the government gives to schools for each pupil considered to be disadvantaged. Poverty or low income is the single most important factor in predicting a child’s future life chances, with many pupils in low income families having low attainment by age 16. The Government believes that the Pupil Premium is the best way to address these underlying inequalities.
Our pupil premium strategy

You can apply for free school meals and allow your school to receive the Pupil Premium funding for children in any of the following categories:
You can apply for free school meals and allow your school to receive the Pupil Premium funding for children in any of the following categories:
- Children in Reception to Year 6 who are currently entitled to free school meals based on their family income.
- Children in Reception to Year 6 who were previously entitled to benefits-based free school meals, even if they are no longer eligible.
- Children in care.
- Children previously in care who have been adopted, or who have a special guardianship order, a child arrangements order or a residence order.
- Children recorded as being from service families.
