Physical Education

Newquay Primary Academy believes that physical education is a unique and vital contributor to a pupils physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.

We know that a broad and balanced curriculum delivered in a safe and supportive environment with progressive learning objectives will allow the child to enjoy challenging learning experiences that enables them to make progress and develop their physical capabilities.

We aim to give the pupils an enjoyable experience that will lead them to taking part in PE and sporting activities outside of school hours, setting the foundations for a healthy and active lifestyle. For more information about PE, click on the links below:

We are fortunate to have a wide variety of sports clubs and activities available in and around Newquay. We have compiled a list of a range of extra-curricular clubs that may interest your child, which can be downloaded here:
Alongside this list, the academy sometimes shares leaflets to parents, advertising activities that are run by organisations that do not relate to Newquay Primary Academy. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you would take the time to read the following disclaimer which will relate to any further activities that are advertised.

‘We agree to advertise activities, however, we cannot confirm that they hold all necessary accreditation, qualifications and insurance to organise and run the events and activities described. No duly appointed officer of Cornwall Education Learning Trust has inspected these services and parents must make their own enquiries and satisfy themselves as to the suitability of the providers before engaging their services. In all the circumstances, neither the academy nor Cornwall Education Learning Trust will accept any liability arising out of those events.’
